Municipal Laws Officer Role

This is a full-time position in our Municipal Laws and Public Assets team, responsible for administering and implementing relevant legislation.

The ideal candidate will have post-secondary training or equivalent experience in municipal law enforcement, with strong time management skills and the ability to plan and organise their workload. They will also have demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and high-level interpersonal skills.

The successful applicant will be required to provide advice and assistance to members of the public regarding policies, permit requests and legislation governing the functions of the Municipal Laws unit. They will also be responsible for enforcing provisions of various acts and Council's General Local Law.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Post-secondary training to Certificate IV in Municipal Law Enforcement or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience working in an enforcement/compliance environment or similar
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to plan/organise own workload
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and high-level interpersonal skills
