About the Role

This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing various events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences. You will work closely with clients to ensure their goals are met, creating memorable experiences for attendees, and managing all aspects of event logistics within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate various events, meetings, and conferences held at the resort.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their objectives and develop customized event plans.
  • Design the flow and procedures for each event, ensuring smooth execution in line with client needs and expectations.
  • Coordinate with different departments, including kitchen, housekeeping, and technical support, to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Arrange venues, equipment, catering, and materials, and manage event set-up and breakdown.
  • Ensure effective on-site management during events, supervising resort staff and managing any issues or emergencies that may arise.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with all stakeholders, including attendees, vendors, sponsors, and resort staff.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are executed within budget while delivering the highest quality experience.
  • Provide creative input and innovative ideas to enhance the guest experience and deliver memorable events.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Event Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages (such as Cantonese or Mandarin) is an asset.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for delivering unique and engaging experiences.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
