Job Title: Community Engagement Program Leader
">The successful applicant will lead a state-wide community engagement program, overseeing staff located in multiple offices and supporting their integration into local teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategies that improve engagement and outcomes for First Nations people and communities.
The role requires building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Aboriginal justice networks and community organisations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the community engagement program at a state-wide level, managing a team of staff and working collaboratively with cross-office teams.
- Develop and implement monitoring and reporting processes to support the program's objectives.
- Contribute to the development of VLA's First Nations strategies and initiatives.
- Establish and maintain respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Lived experience and understanding of First Nations cultures and legal challenges.
- Experience leading diverse teams and mentoring staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to improving legal outcomes and access to services for First Nations people.
