Job Title

We are seeking a Community Champion to lead customer and community engagement, enhancing our reputation through meaningful interactions.

This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure community values are at the heart of our work in delivering water infrastructure projects.

You will develop and implement effective communication plans, build strong relationships across our service region, and drive superior community outcomes and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • In consultation with stakeholders, develop strategic communication plans aligned with our community engagement framework.
  • Provide timely advice on community engagement strategies to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation and identify opportunities to deliver best practice community engagement.
  • Manage logistics for communications and engagement activities, incorporating an understanding of barriers to engagement.
  • Identify risks to customer experience and advocate for the best outcome.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in communication and engagement roles working on multiple projects.
  • Experience developing community engagement programs that build capacity and social licence to operate.
  • Ability to provide specialist advice combined with negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills with adaptability for diverse audiences.
  • Qualification in communication or related field or relevant certification would be beneficial.
  • A Victorian driver's licence is advantageous for travel across our service region.
