We are seeking an experienced occupational health and safety specialist to ensure compliance with our integrated management system and mine management system.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintenance and monitoring of all occupational health and safety statutory requirements for the operation, including statutory reporting requirements.
- Provide expert and practical advice on occupational health and safety controls to operational site teams.
- Assist with incident reporting and investigations.
- Participate in the implementation of our annual occupational health and safety strategic plan.
- Develop site-specific procedures when required.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A certificate IV in work health and safety is required.
- Certificate IV in training and assessment/HLTPAT005 – collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience working in the mining/resources sector.
- A sound understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and statutory requirements.
- Solid knowledge of risk and audit.
- The ability to meet set deadlines and manage projects.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
