Health, Safety and Environment Professional

This role requires an experienced professional to provide support for health, safety, environment and quality compliance, management plans and procedures across various construction and remediation projects.

About the Role
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of health, safety and environment documentation
  • Advise and educate teams on legislative requirements
  • Process incident and hazard reports
  • Drive a safe and healthy work environment
  • Conduct health, safety and environment site inspections and audits, pre-start meetings, and toolbox meetings
  • Coordinate health, safety and environment training programs
  • Analyse health, safety and environment performance, reporting, system updates
  • Maintain the company integrated management system
  • Create and review safe working methods, job hazard analyses, and conduct audits

The ideal candidate will have prior experience leading health, safety and environment in construction and remediation works, tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety or a similar discipline, working knowledge of health, safety and environment practices and relevant occupational health and safety legislation, investigation qualification, and experience being desirable. Proficient in Microsoft suite, skilled in positively influencing, developing, and maintaining site relationships, self-manage workload to ensure efficiency and a positive team environment, demonstrated problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with prioritization and deadline management skills, and understanding of quality management processes.
