The primary function of a senior HSE advisor is to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and the environment.
This involves providing strategic support to organizational safety systems, procedures, and outcomes across multiple locations.
- Overseeing compliance with occupational health and safety management systems.
- Managing hazardous materials, including radiation, explosives, and chemicals.
- Contributing to the development of HSE strategies and audit frameworks.
- Participating in incident investigations and emergency response planning.
- Conducting regular field audits and facility inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Enhancing safety procedures and risk assessments to minimize risks.
- Ensuring correct storage and handling of hazardous substances.
- Maintaining accurate safety documentation and records.
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of Australian occupational health and safety legislation and experience working in a similar HSE advisory position.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, have experience in incident investigation, and possess a Certificate IV in Work Health Safety.
