Desktop Support Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert technical assistance to end-users, ensuring timely support for hardware and software issues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Efficiently diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Deliver Incident Management and Request Fulfilment support according to documented procedures.
- Evaluate major service issues, coordinate communication with clients, support units, and staff, and monitor progress to resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with current desktop and desktop networking systems, along with necessary technical skills for effective technical support.
Essential Skills:
- Advanced Application Support Skills: Microsoft Access, SQL, Scripting/Programming, Exchange/O365 Administration.
- Desirable Skills: 1st Level Application Support Skills, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows 10 1st Level, 1st System & Hardware Support skills, Microsoft Remote Assistance, Microsoft Active Directory user administration, Software Deployment.
- Help Desk/Service Management Skills: ITIL Foundation, Knowledge Centre Solution (KCS), Service Management Tool (SMT).
This position may require participation in a 24-hour, 7-day roster with work hours equating to 36.25 hours per week. Shift penalties apply.
