Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator
The role of Scheduling Coordinator plays a crucial part in planning, organizing and coordinating complex work schedules within time constraints for project, maintenance and customer design requested distribution activities.
This involves creating relevant team/resource execution packages inclusive of work breakdown structures and Gantt charts to enable the scheduler to schedule all relevant work via the scheduling tool.
Based at South Metro Depot, this role empowers employees to create a perfect work-life balance while operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies at all times.
- Profile project work via MS Project with the creation of Gantt charts inclusive of milestones and correct sequencing for completion of projects meeting required by dates.
- Develop, maintain and store documentation relating to Schedule and Dispatch executional packages in line with document management system processes.
- Creation of daily crew execution and/or design packages/schedules by identifying the following:
- All customer deliverables, including relevant activities such as required by date (RBD), in-service date (ISD) or maximising on resources to reduce outages switchable section, are actioned in a timely manner.
- Maximising internal resources based on availability and skillset; determining utilisation of external design delivery channels or to reduce outages switchable section and synchronised outage opportunities.
- Identifications of concurrent design/construction activities and coordination with construction schedulers to meet ISD or secondary trades required i.e. jointers, TX switching, 'A' grade electrician.
- Strong communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills, complimented by a desire to develop influencing/negotiation skills.
- Ability to organise people and resources toward the effective and efficient pursuit of predetermined goals and objectives both operationally and strategically.
- A desire to implement change and innovation, internally and via contract arrangements.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems is essential.
