About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to build close relationships with our clients and develop business opportunities in the Australian market. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the growth of our Fixed Income and Currencies Corporate business in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow the FIC Corporate flow business with Australian Corporates and develop business opportunities (both public and private deals).
  • Originate business opportunities with existing and new clients and provide advisory on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teams.
  • Provide FX and Interest rate risk management solutions to corporate clients in Australia, including Investment solutions where relevant.
  • Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materials.
  • Drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offerings.
  • Work in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney in building out the franchise.
  • Collaborate with other salespersons in the region and globally as well as other departments and partners.
  • Maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of the different corporate clients and industry groups.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering.
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets.
  • Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with the Australian Corporate clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products, particularly IRS/XCCY/FX/FXO/Structured Investment solutions.
  • Good knowledge on the usage of dealing platforms for credit FX and FI.
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Power Point and Excel.

  • Commercial acumen, strong corporate knowledge and persistence in addressing clients' needs.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to work in an evolving multicultural environment with people with diverse, international backgrounds.
