About the Role
KU Children's Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a pivotal role in providing early intervention supports for children aged birth to 7 years, across NSW and Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families and other professionals.
- Support the developmental needs of children through the administration and scoring of assessments, and the provision of feedback to families.
- Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to develop and implement individualised plans to support children's communication and learning needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that promote the communication and learning needs of children.
- Provide training and support to other staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills in supporting children's communication and learning needs.
Requirements
- Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children.
- Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments.
- Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases.
- Meticulous time management and organisation skills.
- Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle.
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain.
- A Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain.
