Communications Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary early intervention team, providing a range of services for children from birth to 7 years in NSW and Victoria.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position with flexible working hours, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week. As a Speech Pathologist at KU Children's Services, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain respectful relationships with stakeholders, including families and other professionals
- Provide assessments, interventions, and support to children with additional needs
- Develop and implement individualised plans to meet the developmental needs of children
- Administer and score assessments, and write reports to communicate with families and other professionals
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive services
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children
- Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments
- Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
- Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases
- Meticulous time management and organisation skills
- Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
- A Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain
