Early Intervention Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health team at KU Children's Services.

About the Role:

  • This is a permanent, part-time position with flexible working hours.
  • The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • You will be experienced in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with stakeholders and supporting the developmental needs of children.
  • Your expertise in administering and scoring assessments, report writing, and providing feedback to families will be highly valued.

Salary & Benefits:

$85,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a generous annual salary increase, up to 14 weeks' paid parental leave, access to salary packaging options, and a range of employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to provide early intervention supports for children aged birth to 7 years.
  • To administer and score assessments, write reports, and provide feedback to families as required.
  • To establish and maintain respectful relationships with stakeholders, including families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • To support the developmental needs of children through play-based learning environments.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with stakeholders and supporting the developmental needs of children.
  • Expertise in administering and scoring assessments, report writing, and providing feedback to families.
  • Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with families, other professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases.
