
Clinical Specialist for NDIS Participants

Positive Behaviour Support Clinician
You will be a valued member of our national team providing clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65. Your role will involve working across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses and disability types.
Every day you will work with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients. You will assess and observe participants challenging behaviours and work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices.
Our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans focus on increasing a person's quality of life by improving their skills and enhancing their independence. You will develop a plan and implement it with training and regular follow up and review.
As a key member of our team, you will be supported in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We provide resources for staff to work from home, aim to allocate clients close to your home, give you ownership of your own calendar and the ability to work part-time or reduced hours.
Key requirements for this role include:
- A qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA), Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Criminology, Childhood Education & Care, Health Science, Allied Health or Nursing
- NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner or the ability to become registered
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability and other complex diagnoses is desirable
- A car and licence are required
- A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain one before commencement are also necessary
