This job opening presents an opportunity to take charge of the daily operations of a reservations team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will oversee the prompt, courteous, and accurate handling of all room reservations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the reservations team, ensuring high levels of customer service and efficiency.
- Oversee and manage daily reservation activities including individual, group, and corporate bookings.
- Ensure all bookings are accurately recorded in the property management system (PMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Work closely with the revenue and sales teams to monitor availability, rate strategy, and booking trends.
- Handle escalated reservation queries or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Train and develop team members, ensuring they follow company standards and procedures.
- Assist with reporting on occupancy, booking pace, and other key reservation metrics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room rates, packages, promotions, and market trends.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth communication regarding special requests, VIP bookings, or group arrangements.
About You
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 2 years proven experience in hotel reservations or front office operations, with supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Fluent English, verbally & written.
- Experience providing prompt and efficient service, including upselling skills is advantageous.
