We are seeking a senior legal professional to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Technology, Procurement and Commercial Legal team, you will provide legal services and support to multiple business units.

Your focus will be on technology and commercial contracting, providing legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial agreements, including master services agreements, software licences, and other bespoke contracts.

You will also have the opportunity to provide strategic input and solutions on business matters, including group transformation projects, outsourcing arrangements, and M&A transactions.

This is an opportunity to work with a market-leading legal team, enjoy a diverse range of work, and engage with senior members of BOQ's management and executive team.

About You

We're looking for someone with strong commercial acumen and the capability to provide solutions-focused, commercial legal advice to a diverse variety of stakeholders.

To be successful, you will have:

  • 6-8 years PQE as a legal practitioner in Australia
  • Private practice or in-house experience in technology contracting, outsourcing, and general commercial vendor contract reviews and negotiations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and draft on material agreements
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology and commercial contracts to ensure they meet third-party contract standards
  • Knowledge of technology law, operational risk management regulations, privacy and data protection, including APRA and other prudential standards which apply to Australian ADI's, Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight timeframes effectively
