About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will provide expert legal guidance and advice to our Chief Investigator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality legal advice on corporate governance, commercial contracts, liability, regulatory, administrative, privacy, employment, and criminal law matters.
- Support the functions of the Chief Investigator by delivering timely and accurate legal advice and counsel across a range of matters.
- Navigate complex tasks as a trusted advisor, guiding our organisation to ensure adherence to best practice in all legal matters in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Contribute to the development of our agency's capability, driving awareness of regulatory obligations and legal risk mitigation.
Requirements:
You should have a strong background in legal practice areas, excellent project management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. You should be a proactive legal professional who enjoys new challenges and variety in your work, a skilled communicator, with the capacity to quickly absorb information, analyse, understand, and provide definitive advice in a timely manner.
About Our Organisation:
Our organisation is an independent transport safety investigator for NSW. Our role is to improve transport safety and enhance public confidence in the safety of the network by conducting fair and balanced investigations and sharing safety lessons and insights with stakeholders who can take action to improve services.
