Business Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team, responsible for driving growth and promoting visibility in the market through industry networking and identifying new recurring service business opportunities.

As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in developing new PSA offerings, including digitally enabled service products, and working in partnership with local teams to support successful development of proposals and estimates.

You will also be responsible for establishing and building client relationships, negotiating contract terms and conditions, and closing deals while ensuring smooth handover to service delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer-facing skills, proven sales skills, and the ability to identify customer needs and priorities. A strong pipeline management background and experience in using Salesforce (SFDC) is also essential.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to demonstrate financial and business acumen, strong communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and with customers and stakeholders, as well as excellent networking skills and a strong established network in the local market.

This role requires a proactive and change-oriented individual who can think creatively and strategically, with a proven track record in delivering strong results and full accountability.

  • Industry networking to promote visibility of Johnson Controls in the market.
  • Driving growth via new recurring service business opportunities by identifying, qualifying, selling and closing "New PSA" opportunities.
  • Developing "New PSA" offerings including digitally enabled service products.
  • Work in partnership with local teams to support successful development of proposals and estimates.
  • Establishing and building client relationships to clearly identify their needs and priorities.
  • Negotiation and agreement on contract terms and conditions.
  • Closing deals and initiating handover to service delivery teams.
Key Qualifications:
  • Someone with exceptional customer-facing skills to transition into business development or an experienced salesperson with a hunting mindset.
  • Proven sales skills and ability to identify customer needs and priorities.
  • 5+ years' experience in HVAC, BMS or Security.
  • Demonstrate financial and business acumen with strong skills in customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge and ability to embrace current industry technologies and digital service offerings.
  • Strong pipeline management, experience in using Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Proven track record in delivering strong results with full accountability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent networking skills, business-minded, change-oriented and proactive.
  • Strong established network in the local market.
  • Ability to obtain your Security Licence.
