We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for establishing and realising sales opportunities for our monitoring systems and associated software throughout designated territories.

About the Role:

  • Develop and maintain industry networks actively to leverage business opportunities
  • Analyse new business prospects to identify potential growth areas
  • Contribute to setting annual sales budgets and work directly with regional sales teams to meet or exceed targets
  • Provide proposals as required by customers
  • Negotiate all aspects of a customer's order within company policies
  • Offer exceptional customer service and support through competent and timely technical and commercial advice
  • Monitor competitors' activities, market trends, and technological advancements to enhance our market share
  • Ensure a current business plan is in place at all times
  • Effectively manage time to execute personal and regional business plans
  • Create and implement proactive lead generation activities

About You:

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in a geospatial or geotechnical role is essential
  • At least 2 years of experience in business-to-business relationships is required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills are necessary
  • Experience in sales, business development, and commercial negotiations is crucial
  • Proven time management skills and ability to work under minimal supervision are expected
  • Excellent client and account management skills, including personal presentation and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and exposure to monitoring technologies at an operational level are desired
  • Ability to build and manage relationships, display a high degree of professionalism, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Results-focused with strong attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Team-oriented, goal-oriented, and outcome-focused with performance-driven attitude
