About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at Aptella. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for establishing and realising sales opportunities for our monitoring systems and associated software throughout designated territories.

About You
  • You have a minimum 5 years' experience in a geospatial or geotechnical role.
  • You have a minimum 2 years' experience in business-to-business relationships.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • You have experience in sales, business development, and commercial negotiations.
  • You have proven time management skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • You have proven client and account management skills, including personal presentation and communication skills.
  • You have well-developed commercial acumen.
  • You have exposure to monitoring technologies at an operational level.
  • You have experience in developing and marketing new product lines.
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and companies.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish a market leadership position for monitoring in your territory.
  2. Develop and maintain industry networks actively to leverage opportunities.
  3. Analyse new business opportunities.
  4. Contribute to setting annual sales budgets and work directly with regional sales teams to meet or exceed these targets.
  5. Provide proposals as required by customers.
  6. Negotiate all aspects of a customer's order within company policies.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and support via competent and timely technical and commercial advice.
  8. Monitor and provide feedback on customers, competitors' activities, the business climate, monitoring technology advancements, and market movements to identify sales trends that can enhance Aptella's market share.
  9. Ensure that a current business plan is in place.
  10. Plan and manage time to ensure personal and regional business plans are being executed and implemented.
  11. Create and implement proactive lead generation activities.
