Overview: Position Partners seeks a seasoned Geospatial Business Development Specialist to spearhead our Monitoring Systems division in Western Australia.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in business-to-business relationships, geospatial or geotechnical roles, and sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and realising sales opportunities, developing industry networks, analysing new business opportunities, and contributing to setting annual sales budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish Market Leadership: Develop and maintain market leadership in the designated territory
  • Develop Industry Networks: Leverage industry connections to identify and establish business development opportunities
  • Analyse New Opportunities: Identify and assess new business opportunities in the geospatial sector
  • Contribute to Sales Budgets: Work closely with regional sales teams to meet or exceed annual sales targets
  • Provide Proposals: Create and deliver tailored proposals to customers as required
  • Negotiate Customer Orders: Negotiate all aspects of customer orders within company policies
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support through timely technical and commercial advice
  • Monitor Market Trends: Monitor and provide feedback on competitors' activities, market movements, and technology advancements
  • Business Planning: Ensure a current business plan is in place and executed effectively
  • Time Management: Plan and manage time to ensure personal and regional business plans are executed
  • Lead Generation: Create and implement proactive lead generation activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a geospatial or geotechnical role
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in business-to-business relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Experience in sales, business development, and commercial negotiations
  • Proven time management skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Proven client and account management skills, including personal presentation and communication skills
  • Well-developed commercial acumen
  • Exposure to monitoring technologies at an operational level
  • Experience in developing and marketing new product lines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and companies
  • Results-focused with strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Team-oriented, excellent interpersonal skills, and positive outgoing personality
