Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Sommelier to join our team at Lucas Restaurants. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class wine experience to our guests. This is a hands-on role that requires a passion for wine and exceptional service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert wine knowledge and recommendations to guests
  • Manage wine inventory and maintain a high level of wine knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with the service team to deliver exceptional service
  • Participate in wine tastings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest wine trends
  • Assist with wine list development and maintenance
Requirements
  • Experience as a Sommelier or Wine Waitstaff in a fine dining and/or high volume restaurant
  • Basic knowledge of local, national, and international wine
  • Passion for wine and the hospitality industry
  • Exceptional service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
  • Possess a valid Certificate of Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • WSET or CMS qualification or equivalent advantageous
