About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Sommelier to join our team at Lucas Restaurants. As a leading restaurant group in Australia, we are committed to excellence and are looking for a wine expert who shares our passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of wine, including new and old world varieties
  • Provide expert wine training and guidance to our team members
  • Manage wine inventory and ensure accurate stock control
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of guest focus
  • Work collaboratively with our wine team to create innovative wine lists and menus
  • Contribute to the development of our wine program and strategy
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sommelier or wine professional
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, including wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production methods
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • WSET or CMS certification advantageous
  • A valid RSA certificate
