Job OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Sommelier to join our team at Lucas Restaurants. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class wine experience to our guests. This is a hands-on role that requires a passion for wine, exceptional service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert wine knowledge and recommendations to guests
- Manage wine inventory and maintain a high level of wine knowledge
- Work collaboratively with the service team to deliver exceptional service
- Participate in wine tastings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest wine trends
- Assist with wine events and promotions
- Experience as a Sommelier or Wine Waitstaff in a fine dining and/or high-volume restaurant
- Basic knowledge of local, national, and international wine
- Passion for wine and the industry
- Exceptional service skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
- Adaptable, flexible, and able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Possess a valid Certificate of Responsible Service of Alcohol
- WSET or CMS qualification or equivalent advantageous
- Available to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Must have full Australian work rights
