About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to join our Asia Tech x Singapore team.

This is a uniquely entrepreneurial role with huge opportunities to make a personal impact on the growth trajectory of the event.

Our ambition is to make Asia Tech x Singapore the region's best large-scale tech event by 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering an exceptional experience for Asia Tech x Singapore partners, sponsors, and exhibitors
  • Full customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit
  • Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong, lasting customer relationships
  • Building and executing a retention and new business development strategy to grow and expand within new and existing customers, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Achieving revenue targets, proactively responding to inbound enquiries and self-generated leads based on a deep market and product understanding
  • Accurately positioning ATx's products, solutions, and services as a solution for the market and business challenges that meet the customers' needs
  • Reporting using all data sources, accurate forecasting and performance metrics to key internal and external stakeholders, highlighting revenue risks and opportunities
  • Managing projects and engaging in project management duties within customer relationships, working to carry out and deliver customer goals while meeting company goals
  • Coordinating with colleagues working on the same account to ensure consistent service
  • Service multiple clients concurrently, meeting and exceeding deadlines
  • Keeping customer information/records up to date such as interactions, transactions, account plans, and record on Salesforce
  • Building a social media presence through social selling
  • Liaising with colleagues to keep your knowledge of new and existing products, services, and solutions up to date
  • Proactively developing yourself, keeping abreast of the changing landscape and having a personal development plan utilising the Sales Excellence competencies
  • Keeping up to date with current market conditions and competitors' products
  • Attending key Informa and industry-related competitor events
  • Representing the brand as a champion leading from the front
  • Working on projects across the business as and when required
Qualifications
  • Experience in successfully exceeding targets for large-scale, multi-track events in a fast-paced commercially-focused organisation
  • Commercially astute with proven experience as a practical deliverer
  • Demonstrable experience of the ability to forge positive relationships with clients
  • Growing key accounts and acquiring new business, consultatively selling across high-value event sponsorship, traditional media, and new digital opportunities, handling multiple complex proposals
  • Undertaking mapping and analysis exercises on both product and client base, and competitor landscape, using analytical skill to review data, draw conclusions and actionable takeaways
  • Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision-makers at companies of all sizes
  • Exceptional communicator both verbal and written, and adept at creating and delivering presentations
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM to manage and forecast sales opportunities
