About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at ComAp Pty Ltd in Adelaide, Australia. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial inputs for monthly financial cycles, supporting the Managing Director, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial management and reporting, including:
    • Preparation of various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and accounts.
    • Drive preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
    • Provide variance analysis as required.
    • Assist head office in yearly auditing.
  • Support the Australian management team to grow revenue.
  • Drive strategy and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide analysis and insight into the business.
  • Identify, calculate, prepare, process, and reconcile monthly accruals and prepayment journals.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and intercompany transactions.
  • Payroll processing - including collation of time sheets, leave management, employee data management, processing pay, and transfers to banking software.
  • Prepare, pay, and reconcile monthly and annual payroll tax, superannuation, and Workcover liabilities for all states.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, manage banking software, and credit card administration.
  • Provide sales/purchases and inventory support.
  • Accounts payable and receivable.
Key Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent).
  • Australian residency with unrestricted work eligibility.
  • 5 or more years' experience working in a similar role, with particular experience working in a national head office finance department environment.
  • Experience working within a multinational company with consolidated accounts.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to provide reports with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong business acumen, with a sound understanding of how businesses operate and financial requirements.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Developed knowledge of the following:
    • Financial management and reporting, including the development of accurate financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Financial modelling and analysis.
    • Accounting.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel - developing spreadsheets and utilising pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards.
  • Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation, taxation environment, and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of Foreign Exchange regime.
