Public Sector Business Development Opportunity

Salesforce is a leader in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, empowering businesses to connect with customers in innovative ways. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in generating new business and qualifying opportunities through strategic outreach and partnership with our Sales and Marketing team.

The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset, be an engaging communicator, and have a strong desire for high performance and self-motivation. They should also be able to think critically and find solutions in complex environments. Experience prospecting and cold calling is highly regarded, as well as consistent achievement of target metrics.

The role requires the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and innovative team environment, collaborating with partners across government and public service sectors. You will be responsible for maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads, qualifying leads, contacts, and accounts to understand use cases and opportunities, and partnering closely with Public Sector Account Executives to move qualified pipeline through the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Qualifying leads, contacts, and accounts to understand use cases and opportunities
  • Maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up
  • Partnering closely with Public Sector Account Executives to move qualified pipeline through the sales cycle
  • Building a point of view on how to help qualify customer needs
  • Speaking to value and return on investment vs. technical functionality
