Injury Prevention Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing and Injury Management Team Lead to join our organisation. The role will be responsible for leading the delivery of effective injury prevention, claims management, and injury management processes in support of business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of advisors and coordinators to ensure high levels of customer focus in support of stores and the support centre.
- Developing and implementing injury and claims management policies, procedures, and strategies that minimise operational impact, reduce costs, and continually improve health and safety results.
- Working collaboratively with the Injury Management & Wellbeing Manager to develop the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives, targets, and timeframes for implementation.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing practical training and coaching to leaders on health and wellbeing for their team and the greater business.
- Assisting in developing and implementing health and wellbeing initiatives or strategies to ensure best practices are in place.
- Ensuring the Injury Management System is maintained with accurate and relevant information and effectively used by both the Wellbeing and Injury Management, Safety, and HR teams.
- Contributing to the coordination and compiling of safety reporting and presentations, including quarterly strategy tracking, and retail leadership meetings.
- Effectively facilitating the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members, ensuring lost time, claim durations, and claim costs are minimised.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant Allied Health such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychologist.
- Relevant professional association membership and/or registration.
- 3+ years rehabilitation experience (clinical and non-clinical) and 2 years in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry.
- Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation nationally with demonstrated cost and claim reductions through implementation of injury prevention programs.
