Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to enhance our Geelong operations. In this influential role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial, administrative, and clerical functions of the Accounts Receivable department. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the effective processing and collection of patient accounts and claims while leading a team to meet financial objectives.
Your responsibilities will also encompass ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, alongside internal policies and procedures. Your expertise in payment processing, aged debt management, adjustments, and refunds will be vital in supporting Lake Imaging's operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Supervise daily payment reconciliation and guarantee the accurate processing of all financial transactions, including Bpay, Direct Credits, and other payment methods.
- Billing and Invoicing: Oversee daily billing lists, manage invoicing, and follow up on accounts.
- Aged Debtors Management: Analyze collection reports and manage the collection processes for various debtor groups in alignment with financial requirements.
- Adjustments and Refunds: Evaluate and monitor refunds, manage the Refund Register, and efficiently resolve refund-related issues.
- Reporting: Generate daily receipts reports, bank reconciliation data, AR team reports, and monthly Key Result Areas Reports.
- Customer Service: Assist staff and management with billing inquiries and investigate and resolve customer concerns.
- Team Leadership: Guide and support the AR team, including recruitment, training, and ongoing performance management.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer in the healthcare sector is highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in team leadership and process improvement implementation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle a steady workload and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
