Claims Technical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Claims Technical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Recovery and Return to Work team, you will provide technical support and advice to our case managers.

This exciting role requires someone who is experienced in workers compensation law and can coach team members on best practices. You will use your expertise to review current claims management practices and procedures, identify emerging trends, and develop strategic initiatives to improve service, performance, and compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to claims teams on the claims management process and Victorian workers compensation law
  • Assist in achieving performance measures and goals
  • Review and provide feedback on claims management practices and procedures
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve service, performance, and compliance
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support organisational compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Strong technical experience in workers compensation, including knowledge of Victorian workers compensation law
  • Previous experience as a technical specialist or similar role in workers compensation claims
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and negotiate effectively
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in coaching and supporting others
