Senior Proposal Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Proposal Manager to lead our major bids and shape the commercial strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity qualification through to submission.
  • Coordinate bid kick-off meetings, set schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver cohesive proposals.
  • Develop cost models, pricing, SLAs, and value propositions.
  • Draft, edit, and refine bid documentation for clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance.
  • Ensure governance and approvals are in place, identifying and addressing risks as needed.
  • Support negotiations by preparing risk assessments, contract schedules, and commercial options.
  • Mentor junior contributors to enhance overall bid capability.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in solution sales or running large service bids in IT&T or similar industries.
  • A consistent track record of handling multimillion-dollar opportunities end-to-end.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to distil complexity into clarity.
  • Familiarity with proposal management systems and tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint crucial; MS Project desirable).
  • Commercial acumen and creativity to design bids that balance customer needs and organisational goals.
  • The ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, bringing clarity and confidence to complex challenges.
  • A reputation for building strong relationships and influencing at all levels, from technical teams to senior executives.
