Key Account Manager

BASF Australia Ltd. is seeking a Key Account Manager to manage the end-to-end technical sales process for utility scale energy storage systems in Australia and New Zealand.

Formula for SuccessThis role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, providing clear direction to the sales organization, and establishing long-term relationships with key accounts and market influencers.
You will:
- Develop and implement sales strategies, including pricing implementation, to drive business growth.
- Support the establishment of long-term relationships with key-accounts and market influencers to understand customer needs and strategic interests.
- Analyze client needs to develop tailored solutions and assist with quotations and feasibility studies.
- Work with peers in other regions to share best practices, learnings, and devise new initiatives and improvements.
To be successful in this role, you'll have a strong background in technical and/or marketing & sales, especially in engineering and construction management in the power generation market.
Familiarity with working alongside utilities, project developers, and EPCs in the energy industry is highly valuable. You'll be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.
You'll:
- Hold a degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline, preferably electrical engineering.
- Have strong technology expertise in renewable energy.
- Be able to communicate complicated technical topics across functions and regions.
- Clearly present suggestions and ideas to internal and external parties.
