About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team at ASIC as an Investigations Manager. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing and contributing to large complex investigations of suspected misconduct into greenwashing and ESG misconduct.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and/or contribute to large complex investigations, utilising technology to analyse data, information and documentation to identify and present relevant evidence.
  • Employ a range of evidence gathering techniques, including conducting examinations, interviewing witnesses, taking complex statements and undertaking document review using electronic tools.
  • Identify issues, including complex legal issues arising in investigations, and support ASIC Litigation Counsel in commencing and conducting civil litigation in the Supreme and/or Federal Courts.
  • Communicate with external parties in relation to issues arising during the course of the investigation.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, including in law, commerce, accounting, finance, data science or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience in a role that involved investigation, case management, evidence gathering processes, project management or detection of misconduct, including the conduct of civil litigation and/or the preparation of criminal briefs of evidence.
  • Ability to plan, deliver and manage complex investigations through to completion.
  • Strong legislative and evidence analysis skills, as well as highly developed writing and drafting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use digital investigative tools and confidence presenting, building rapport, interviewing, and advocating an organisation's position in the context of complex issues.
Classification and Remuneration

The role is available at the ASIC 4, EL1 and EL2 classifications, with corresponding remuneration packages.
