Strategic HR Business Partner

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic HR Business Partner to join our People & Experience team. This role is a key player in the Utilities division, responsible for providing leadership, professional expertise, and guidance in the development and support of key HR programs, processes, and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years generalist HR and Employee Relations experience, with expertise in ER/IR matters, EBA interpretation and negotiation. They will contribute to the Business Unit strategic plan and take ownership for the implementation of key people initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring business unit compliance to all legislative requirements, company policies and commitments via Human Resources policies, legislative requirements and relevant Awards or Enterprise Agreements.
  • Contributing to tender submissions to ensure operational objectives are achieved through mobilisation plans, systems and compliance with relevant industrial instruments.
  • Facilitating HR support including recruitment, change management, performance management and succession planning.
  • Delivering facilitated training initiatives as part of program implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry practice in terms of sourcing strategies, recruitment, promotion, skills development, conditions of employment and HR policies. They will also possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to positively influence customers, clients, management and staff.
