Overview of the Role:
The Clinical Lead for Resident Care is a vital position that requires expertise in delivering high-quality care to residents. This role involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to enhance resident wellbeing and ensure person-centered quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialize in clinical areas such as palliative care, dementia care, and complex wound management to enhance quality of care and resident wellbeing
- Deliver expert clinical assessments and care plans tailored to individual resident needs
- Mentor Registered Nurses and work with onsite Nurse Educators and Care Team Managers to enhance standards of care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including General Practitioners and Allied Health Practitioners, to champion continuous quality improvement
- Lead clinical response to unplanned incidents and implement effective interventions
- Champion continuous improvement and quality care by following and responding to assessment referral processes in a timely manner
Requirements:
This role requires a Registered Nurse with 5+ years' experience (3+ in aged care) and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical specialty. Proven leadership and mentoring skills are essential for success in this position.
