We connect communities across Queensland, and we need a passionate professional like you to ensure our passengers have an exceptional onboard experience. As a Passenger Attendant with Queensland Rail, you'll be responsible for checking tickets, maintaining manifests, providing top-notch customer service, and supporting the Passenger Services Supervisor on our long-distance train services.

The Spirit of Queensland (Brisbane to Cairns), Westlander (Brisbane to Charleville), Spirit of the Outback (Brisbane to Longreach), and Rockhampton Tilt Train (Brisbane to Rockhampton) are just a few of the routes you'll travel. You'll work closely with a team of experienced professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and enjoyable journeys for our passengers.

As a key member of our team, you'll create memorable experiences for our customers, check the cleanliness of the train, and report any concerns. You'll also assist with loading and unloading passenger baggage, ensuring the safety and well-being of our passengers by reporting any operational issues.

We're looking for a resilient and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent customer service skills. In addition to this, you'll possess:

Candidates will also need to currently hold or be willing to obtain the below certificates prior to employment:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Food Hygiene

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a base annual salary of $69,600 + 12.75% superannuation. However, after including applicable allowances, you can earn up to approximately $100,000 + 12.75% superannuation. You'll also enjoy opportunities to explore regional Queensland during layovers, work within a supportive team environment, and benefit from a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program. Two weeks of paid training upon commencement will provide you with a solid foundation to excel in this role.

About the Salary

Our base annual salary is $69,600 + 12.75% superannuation. When including applicable allowances, your total package can reach up to approximately $100,000 + 12.75% superannuation. This ensures you'll be well-compensated for your hard work and dedication to delivering exceptional passenger experiences.
