Inventory Planning Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Planning Manager to join our SEQ Strategy and Planning Team at Queensland Rail. This is a full-time permanent position with an attractive salary.
About the RoleThis role requires exceptional leadership and operational delivery skills, as well as financial management expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory and logistics supply chain for all inventory material requirements and associated activities for SEQ and Regional projects delivery and maintenance operations.
- Provide strategic leadership and motivation to an expert team in inventory planning and supply plan fulfillment of the logistics and inventory materials supply chain for all SEQ and Regional inventory materials requirements
- Manage inventory levels of all SEQ Assets Inventory Distribution centres and other relevant inventory storage locations to ensure optimization of inventory held and minimize stock deficiencies for planned and scheduled work requirements
- Lead a collaborative and integrated management methodology with internal customers and service providers to ensure achievement in the delivery of all inventory materials
- Manage systems and processes for the effective review and updating of medium and long-term programs in consultation with all relevant stakeholders
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of skill in managing logistics supply chain planning, programming, and reporting across a diverse range of multidisciplinary divisions and teams. They will also have strong project management and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Additional requirements include extensive knowledge of supply chain planning, procurement, and investment procedures associated with the supply of materials within Queensland Rail. Substantial knowledge of budgetary and financial planning requirements needed to plan major material requirements is also essential.
