Salary

The estimated salary range for this role is £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and location.

Job Description

This is a key leadership role which will oversee the overall project management for rail projects in Queensland, ensuring the NRC team works collaboratively to achieve successful project outcomes and high customer satisfaction. As a subject matter expert, you will work closely with the NRC leadership team to drive and provide project management expertise for future projects, delivering results consistent with the NRC project management methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the QLD project team and provide strategic leadership and guidance as part of the QLD leadership team.
  • Lead the project management for the overarching P&PM function, ensuring consistency with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director to deliver timely and accurate reporting of project health to customers.
  • Work with the Project Director to ensure updates to the Project Management and Quality Plan are completed according to the current program strategy.
  • Ensure strategic decisions from customers are translated into relevant project delivery strategies.
  • Evaluate approaches to project management for optimal customer benefit.
RequirementsEssential:
  • Significant project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering small to medium-sized rail projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing risks across projects and programs, including knowledge of risk management concepts and tools.
  • A sound understanding of major rail infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of the project lifecycle and project management principles.
  • Understanding of program objectives.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with senior stakeholders and technical experts.
Desirable:
  • Prior experience in delivering change and compliance projects.
  • Proficiency in a project schedule management tool – such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
