About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Nations Partnership Development Specialist to join our team at Kirra Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining partnerships with First Nations communities and organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • First Nations Guidance and Advice: Provide guidance and advice on cultural practice and protocols to our team, leveraging your expertise as a First Nations person.
  • Project Management Support: Assist with the administration, planning, and implementation of projects and initiatives to end rheumatic heart disease, prioritizing stakeholder engagement, cultural considerations, travel, and logistics.
  • Relationship Management and Community Engagement: Support your Manager and the CEO in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with social and economic justice and empowerment partners, including community-led initiatives.
  • Communication and Research: Research key First Nations social and economic justice and empowerment issues and developments in government policy, media, and advocacy circles, communicating these findings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Grants Management: Understand and utilize our Grants Management system to ensure partnerships and grants are correctly managed and updated.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of five years' experience in a partnership/account management or project management role, with a strong understanding of First Nations communities and culture.
  • Attributes: A genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the community, excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
