Program Coordinator - Indigenous Community Engagement
Role Summary
The Program Coordinator - Indigenous Community Engagement will support the development and delivery of key initiatives by engaging with both Indigenous communities and working across government agencies. This role aims to increase access and maximize opportunities for Indigenous Victorians to participate in sport and active recreation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to the Manager, Indigenous Programs to assist with projects including the Aboriginal Sporting Partnership, Self-Determination work, Together More Active project support and relationship management as required.
- Supporting the organization in the development and delivery of Indigenous sport and recreation programs through the administration of the Aboriginal Sporting Participation Grant Program.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including Indigenous organizations and community) through a professional and collaborative approach to support development opportunities and pathways for Indigenous people.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong written communication skills, preparing clear, concise, and grammatically correct language to achieve their purpose.
- Project management skills, producing project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are specified.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, establishing and maintaining relationships with people at all levels.
