About the Role
The Indigenous Engagement Coordinator supports the design, management, and delivery of key initiatives under the Faculty's Indigenous Engagement Portfolio. This role plays a vital part in strengthening Indigenous engagement by coordinating national programs, facilitating student activities, and building partnerships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders. With a focus on staekeholder engagement, communication, and project delivery, the successful candidate will contribute to advancing the Faculty's Indigenous commitments in alignment with the University's Indigenous Strategy, Murmuk Djerring.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with colleagues, Indigenous communities and external stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives that support the pipeline of Indigenous students into University, including planning and evaluating ongoing program success.
- Coordinate the delivery of events to elevate Indigenous engagement and participation in the Faculty's key initiatives.
- Communicate and present program milestones and briefings to relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage relationships with Indigenous community members and key organisations to help facilitate mutually beneficial initiatives and project outcomes
About You
The successful candidate will have strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. They will excel in communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement, effectively collaborating with diverse groups, including students, colleagues, university partners, and Indigenous communities.
You will also have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience, education and/or training.
- Project management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent time management and communication skills; including demonstrated experience in prioritising and effectively balancing competing demands
