Job Title: Indigenous Community Coordinator This is an opportunity to join a team dedicated to improving the experience of Indigenous Australians in the justice system. The role involves leading and contributing to various projects and initiatives related to Indigenous justice, including coordinating regular reporting, providing secretariat support to project control groups and working groups, and coordinating annual reconciliation events. The successful candidate will have a strong interest and commitment to improving Indigenous peoples' experience of the justice system, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with community and internal groups. Key Responsibilities:• Provide coordination and administrative support to the Director, Koori Strategy & Engagement• Assist with developing and maintaining business unit documents and administration systems• Build and maintain relationships with community and internal groups• Conduct research activities and provide recommendations for improvement Requirements:• Strong interest and commitment to improving Indigenous peoples' experience of the justice system• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Experience working on different projects and building good working relationships• Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Benefits:• Opportunity to work in a culturally supportive team environment• Variety of tasks and projects to contribute to• Opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in Indigenous justice• Competitive remuneration package Selection Criteria:• Confirmation of Aboriginality document required• Relevant qualifications or experience How to Apply:Resume and short cover letter.
