A critical role exists for an expert to oversee and manage distribution and insurance partners within the partnerships channel of Mercer Super. The Partnership Manager is responsible for coordinating relationship and operational governance between Mercer and key partners, managing and reporting on performance, reviewing processes and procedures to ensure that agreed service levels, contractual and legislative obligations are met.
This newly created role requires proactive management of ongoing commercial relationships to address technical or contractual issues and escalate commercial conversations to the appropriate level for prompt resolution. You will work closely with Partnership Managers to prepare compliance and governance reporting to the Board, Board sub-committees, internal and external management committees.
- Governance: Lead the governance of the TAL partnership, including operations such as Partnership Meetings, Operational Review Committee, quarterly Joint Management Committees, and annual Strategic Planning. Provide input on strategy generation or capacity management processes.
- Performance Management: Manage vendor performance through service level and legislative reporting, monitoring, and trending. Provide dashboard reporting.
- Vendor Relationship Owner (VRO): Manage vendor risks as outlined in Mercer and Marsh McLennan policies and procedures. Perform risk management analysis of vendors and partners.
- Contract Management: Ensure obligations and deliverables are managed, tracked, and reported.
- Finance and Commercial: Ensure financial control through finance & invoicing management.
- Issue & Dispute Management: Ensure disputes are managed, tracked, documented, and resolved. Manage contract issues through robust implementation of frameworks.
- Request Management: Review new service requests & analyze against contract. Integration of approved service requests into VM processes.
