Building Compliance Professional

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + superannuation.
About the RoleThis is an initial 6 month contract as a Building Compliance Officer. You will play a crucial role in protecting the health and safety of the community by ensuring compliance with building and environmental regulations.
You will conduct investigations on compliance issues regarding breaches of relevant local government, planning and environmental legislation. Carry out appropriate enforcement action by way of education, fines, notices, orders and directions. Respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate compliance issues and take appropriate action
- Conduct site visits and inspections
- Provide education and guidance to customers
- Qualification in Planning, Building Surveying or equivalent professional discipline
- Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading at a registration level of Building Inspector (A4)
- Driver Licence
- Working knowledge of BCA and EPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
