About Ivory Group based in Sydney, we are seeking an experienced Building & Compliance Officer to join our team. The role reports to the Compliance Team Leader and plays a crucial part in safeguarding community health and safety by ensuring compliance with building and environmental regulations.

This is an initial 6-month contract. As a Building & Compliance Officer, you will actively perform business functions related to investigating and taking appropriate enforcement actions concerning compliance matters. The position requires strong knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Duties:

  • Conduct investigations on compliance issues regarding breaches of relevant local government, planning, and environmental legislation.
  • Carry out appropriate enforcement action by way of education, fines, notices, orders, and directions.
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner.

Skills & Experience:

  • Qualification in Planning, Building Surveying, or equivalent professional discipline.
  • Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading at a registration level of Building Inspector (A4).
  • Driver Licence.
  • Working knowledge of BCA and EPA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
