Development Assessment Coordinator Position in Regional Planning

Griffith City Council is seeking a skilled Development Assessment Coordinator to join its planning team. Located in one of Australia's most vibrant regional economies, the successful candidate will be part of a proactive and energetic council passionate about creating opportunities for its growing population.
About the RoleThis permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to provide efficient processing and decision-making relating to development applications, land use, and subdivision proposals within the Planning environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in development assessment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a small professional team.
The role involves:
- Providing guidance and input into planning matters throughout the development assessment process
- Maintaining a customer-focused approach while processing development applications
- Interpreting and applying legislation and policy to ensure compliance with regulations
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in planning and registration with the Planning Institute of Australia
- Extensive experience in development assessment and leadership skills
- An Australian Class C driver licence

Griffith City Council offers a competitive salary range of $108,102.72 to $118,908.24 (Grade 19), plus superannuation, a fully maintained leaseback vehicle, relocation assistance, and salary sacrifice packages. You will also enjoy:
