Development Assessment Senior Planner

About the Role:
As a seasoned urban and regional planner, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of development assessment staff in the Sustainable Places Group at Coffs Harbour City Council. This exciting leadership role involves providing expert planning advice to the community, overseeing the assessment and determination of development applications, mentoring and supporting junior staff, and collaborating with other sections of the council to improve and enhance the development assessment service.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning or equivalent;
- Previous leadership experience in a development assessment role is highly desirable;
Benefits:
- A competitive salary range of $111K to $121K per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation;
- Permanent full-time position with 35 hours per week;
- Annual performance-based salary increases;
- Options to accrue flex time and flexible working arrangements;
- Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years;
- A brand new office location at Yarrila Place.
