The Project Overview

  • We are part of the Gold Coast Light Rail project, creating an integrated network that connects people to places in one of Australia's most dynamic cities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will draft scopes of works and tender packages for subcontractors.
  • Conduct initial investigations with subcontractors to clarify contract conditions.
  • Assist in negotiating contract departures.
  • Maintain a register of all subcontractors.
  • Evaluate costs accurately for allocated subcontracts.
  • Identify and quantify Head Contracts.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Regularly assess commercial and contractual risks.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Commerce.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator, preferably with a Tier 1 Contractor in Australia.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and contract management systems.
  • Understanding of document control procedures.
  • Able to interpret and apply relevant legislation and codes.
  • Experience in negotiating with subcontractors.
