We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Specialist to join our team at Opportunity International Australia. As a key member of our national fundraising team, you will be responsible for leading the NSW/ACT relationship fundraising portfolio and acquiring financial support from individuals, commercial organizations, trusts, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Qualify a portfolio of NSW/ACT donors and supporters who have previously given generously to the organization.
  • Develop a personalized and tailored supporter journey for your portfolio.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with a focus on getting to know your donors' interests, motivations, giving patterns, and ask preferences.
  • Maintain the retention and upgrade goals of your portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with the program team to understand their work in order to develop compelling proposals and impact reports.
  • Regularly report on your personal activity and portfolio pipeline and results.
  • In addition to your business as usual relationship management, have a desire to represent Opportunity at forums, events, expos, and conferences.
Requirements
  • An experienced fundraising relationship manager from the not-for-profit sector, or extensive experience driving long-term, high-value individual relationships in the commercial sector.
  • Confident, proactive, and personable.
  • Strong, professional communicator coupled with a love of best-practice process.
  • Strong administration skills and the ability to execute on a plan, comfortable working within a small, hands-on team.
  • Flexibility for occasional regional travel to connect with supporters.
  • A willingness to travel overseas with supporters to witness the impact their gifts have on families building lives free from poverty.
