Disability Accommodation Transition Specialist

We seek a highly motivated individual to support participants with disabilities in transitioning into specialist disability accommodation. This role involves working closely with NDIS participants, their families and support coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of participant needs and develop transition plans in partnership with NDIS participants, their families and support coordinator.
  • Ensure all SDA and associated funding is identified and plans are uplifted wherever possible.
  • Work closely with the NDIS, service providers and support coordinators to ensure a smooth and seamless transition into SDA.
  • Provide education and information to NDIS participants and their families about SDA options and benefits of transitioning to SDA.
  • Provide ongoing support to NDIS participants and their families during and after the transition process, ensuring that any issues or concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist with data collection and maintenance of participant SDA related contracts, agreements and leases.
  • Oversight of accommodation occupancy/vacancy tracking and reporting.

About You

You will have a strong understanding of the NDIS and SDA market, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep passion to improving the lives of people with a disability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience dealing with tenancy management, vacancy management or property management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Specialist Disability Accommodation framework, NDIS, and associated regulations.
  • An understanding of SDA contributions and association funds.
  • Exposure to property operations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and customer service mindset to effectively engage influence stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
